Aplomo
Effective date: September 27, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Eduardo Javier Crovetto Hartmann (Spanish tax ID Y4466123C; “we”, “us”), who operates Aplomo. By downloading or using Aplomo, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and clear.
Aplomo is a public-speaking practice app: you defend your ideas out loud against a rival generated by artificial intelligence and get feedback on how you argued. It is a practice tool. It is not professional, career, legal, psychological or any other kind of advice, and it doesn't guarantee any result, such as passing an interview or winning a negotiation.
You must be 16 or older to use Aplomo. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use Aplomo only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchases.
The rival's replies, your scores, reports and AI-generated scenarios are produced by a large language model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate, and they are provided for practice only. Use your own judgment before relying on them. To generate this content, the text of your practice is sent, with your consent, to a third-party AI provider, as explained in our Privacy Policy, so please don't include sensitive or confidential information about yourself or others.
The free version currently includes 2 sparring sessions per day (rival and pitch sessions both count; the count resets at local midnight), most of the scenario library and 1 free AI-generated scenario. Using Reset progress doesn't reset these limits. Aplomo Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks unlimited sparring sessions, the job interview simulator, every scenario, unlimited custom scenarios and the AI report with your training plan. In some versions of the app (such as betas), purchases may not be available and all features may be temporarily unlocked.
Plans. Aplomo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available as a monthly or an annual plan. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase or, if your plan includes a free trial, when the trial ends.
Free trials. Some plans may include a free trial for new subscribers. Its length is shown before you confirm, and Apple or Google decides who is eligible. When the trial ends, it automatically turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length, and your account is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How to cancel. Cancel any time in your store account settings. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep Pro until then. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Purchases, renewals and billing are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us.
Because Apple and Google process all payments, we can't issue refunds ourselves. Refund requests are handled by Apple (at reportaproblem.apple.com) or by Google (in your Google Play account) under their own policies.
Your use of Aplomo is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Aplomo or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for handling any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If you got Aplomo from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.
The app, its design, content and the Aplomo name belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Aplomo on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the app store's rules. You keep ownership of what you say or type, and you may use the feedback and reports generated for you however you like.
Aplomo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted or that its AI content will be accurate. Parts of Aplomo depend on third-party services (speech recognition, AI, text-to-speech and app stores) that may change or become unavailable.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities or data, arising from your use of Aplomo. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Aplomo Pro in the 12 months before the claim and (b) US$50. This limit doesn't apply to liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for personal injury. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
You can stop using Aplomo at any time by deleting the app (remember to cancel any subscription separately). We may suspend or end your access to online features, such as the AI rival, if you break these terms or abuse our services, and we may change or discontinue features of the app. When your access ends, the license in section 8 ends too, while sections 3, 9, 10 and 12 continue to apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live.
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page and, if the change is significant, let you know in the app or on this page. If you keep using Aplomo after the change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
